Mandatory for every company with employees.
The Risk Inventory & Evaluation (RI&E) is the legal foundation of your health and safety policy. Under Article 5 of the Working Conditions Act, every employer is required to systematically identify and evaluate workplace risks and create a Plan of Action.
For companies with 25 or more employees, validation by a certified health and safety expert is mandatory. Without a valid RI&E, you risk fines and failing your ISO audit.

From submission form to certified RI&E in 10 to 12 weeks.
Five clear steps, with defined responsibilities and timelines. We handle the heavy lifting; you only need to step in when it is truly necessary.
Submission form
You fill out a compact form regarding the current situation and documentation.
Overview of locations, teams, and workstations
Existing health and safety documentation and policy
Names of the prevention officer, confidential advisor, and works council contact
Research via Well Aware
We collect the data. For Well Aware clients, the PSA portion is already complete.
PSA data from the Well Aware platform (already measured continuously)
Free additional questionnaire for the remaining themes (safety, emergency response, workstations)
Analysis by our specialists based on benchmarks and the JD-R model
Cost savings: This is exactly where the 50% discount comes from. The PSA survey that traditional parties invoice separately is already included in your Well Aware license.
Site visit
Our occupational health and safety expert will visit for the physical inventory in accordance with Article 5 of the Working Conditions Act.
Building and workstations regarding ergonomics, safety, and well-being

Absenteeism policy and prevention structure
Interviews with the prevention officer, confidential advisor, and works council
PSA check as a supplement to the data from Well Aware
Reporting and Plan of Action
We detail all risks and draw up the legally required Plan of Action.
Full RI&E report per location or department
Concrete, action-oriented Plan of Action with owners and deadlines
Prioritization based on risk classification
Immediately actionable for management and the works council
Statutory assessment by a certified core expert
For organizations with more than 25 employees, assessment by a certified health and safety expert is mandatory.
Independent assessment by a certified health and safety expert
Fully compliant with Article 5 of the Health & Safety Act
Valid for the ISO 45001 and ISO 27001 audit
Digitally available for management, works council, and the Labor Inspectorate
Why this works: With the right preliminary information, the site visit in step 3 will be as efficient as possible.
What you get
One process, all-inclusive.
No separate invoices for assessment or the Plan of Action. Everything is included in the price.
All five statutory themes from Article 5 of the Working Conditions Act developed per location or department.
Concrete document with owners, deadlines, and prioritization. Ready for immediate use by management and the works council.
Independent assessment by a certified occupational health and safety expert. Mandatory for 25+ employees, included with us.
Reporting in the Well Aware platform. Always accessible to management, the works council, and the Labour Inspectorate.
Because psychosocial workload (PSA) data is continuously tracked in Well Aware, your RI&E remains automatically up to date on this theme.
The RI&E is valid for ISO 45001 (occupational health and safety) and compatible with ISO 27001 (information security).

All five mandatory themes fully developed.
Independent assessment included.

Everything HR needs to know about the RI&E
A traditional RI&E provider invoices for the entire study, including psychosocial risk, culture, and absenteeism analysis. If you are a Well Aware customer, all of that is already in the platform. We start with that existing data and only invoice for the additional work: extra safety questions, site visits, reporting, and assessment. This way, you pay half on average.
Yes. We provide a complete RI&E in accordance with Article 5 of the Working Conditions Act, including a Plan of Action. For organizations with more than 25 employees, the legally required assessment by a certified expert is included in the price. This makes the RI&E legally valid for the Labor Inspectorate and suitable for ISO audits.
We can still conduct your RI&E, but without the 50% discount. If you are considering using Well Aware for employee surveys, health checks, and psychosocial risk assessments as well, we can integrate the RI&E process into the implementation. This often leads to significant savings over the long term.
We conduct the inventory per location in accordance with Occupational Health and Safety Act requirements. For companies with similar locations, such as retail chains or distribution centers, we use a sampling method and incorporate the findings into one overarching RI&E with a per-location Plan of Action.
Yes. The validated RI&E is directly applicable for ISO 45001 (occupational health and safety management system) and aligns with ISO 27001 (information security) for areas where there is overlap. This makes the process particularly valuable for companies certifying against multiple ISO standards.
That is exactly what the Plan of Action is for. We formulate concrete actions with owners, deadlines, and priorities. For structural PSA improvements, you can immediately deploy Well Aware’s tools, such as interventions, coaching, and reporting channels. For physical adjustments to buildings or workstations, we advise on appropriate next steps without tying you to a specific provider.
Legally, the RI&E must remain up to date. In practice, this means a major review every 4 to 5 years, and interim updates following significant changes such as relocations, new processes, or mergers. Because PSA data in Well Aware is tracked continuously, that part remains automatically up to date.
Yes. Through Well Aware, we support HR in following up on psychosocial risk (PSA) actions, such as signs of work pressure or inappropriate behavior. For physical and organizational actions, we assist with prioritization and monitoring, but the execution remains under your own management or via existing occupational health partners.
